First Night Home

I remember the day I brought little Ella home from the hospital. I was TERRIFIED!!! I had no idea what to expect or how to care for her. What if she wouldn't eat? Was she going to sleep? Was she too, hot or too cold? I was a ball of new Mommy nerves.

Magically this time around, I feel a little more confident. The first night home went very well. He ate, slept, pooped, ate... over and over again. I cried a bunch of times at the miracle a family of 4 seems to be to me.

Thanks to being so much healthier this time around... Cash and I got to go home from the hospital the very next day!!

Ella stayed with our good friends Amy and Kevin while we were at the hospital. They decorated our front door for us as a surprise and Ella was so excited about it. It was so cute and thoughtful, had all the stats and a custom made Welcome Home sign colored by two cite little girls. :)

Ella's Baby Brother is finally here!!!!!!!!!!!

Cash Elliott Lingo born 5-24-12 at 9:07am 7 lbs. 13 oz. 19 inches long blonde hair blue eyes and pure perfection!!!

School prep

Ella and I cruised the neighborhood yard sales this weekend and found her quite the little treasure. A backpack for her to take to school in the fall. It is perfect for her with purple,pink, and princess as the theme. She insisted on wearing it the rest of the day. She cannot wait for school to start and asks me everyday when it will be.

To my baby boy....

Dear Baby Brother, Today, I am officially giving you your 30 day eviction notice. That is right 30 DAYS!!! You have been a fairly easy going and kind tenant and as your landlady I appreciate the minimal damage you have done this far but cramped quarters are not ideal for either one of us. Please take the next few weeks to collect everything necessary for your move such as: more fat, brain power, and strength. This move will not be easy for either one of us but I promise as your land lady and your Mother, you will LOVE your new home.

I got to take this little cutie pie out for a fun picnic playdate with some of our favorite friends. Best day in a long time!

Growing up

A few months ago we were driving home from church and this was our conversation:

Ella: "Mother, can I have my own scripture for church?"

Me: (tearing up with pride) "Of course Ella I will get you one."

Ella: "If I bring my scripture to primary class they will give me an m&m"

So funny. So being the supportive Mother that I am I got her a fun purple flower scripture tote so she can carry her books in style. She was so proud of it and told everyone to check it out all day long. She is growing up so fast...

Easter Sunday

Sibling prep class

First Ella got a completer tour of a delivery room. She got to check out what the oxygen tube feels like and also feel the warmth of the baby warmer.

She also got to practice wrapping the baby and holding in the perfect sibling squeeze. She learned how to give the baby a gentle wash cloth bath.

She drew baby brother a welcome picture to give to him when she first meets him. She decided to draw a picture of what she thinks he may look like. I think it is perfect in every way possible.

She listened to baby brothers heart beat too!!!

Ella thinks it is her job to spin and twirl every waking hour.

We Believe..............

Ella got to give the Article of Faith in Primary at church today. She did so well, I was so very proud of her.

Happy Birthday to my little 4 year old!!!

4 years ago this sweet precious angel came into my world and changed everything.

4 years later she is still the biggest blessing in my life and the greatest joy I have ever known.

Precious as can be......

This sweet photo tugs at my Mamma heart strings. Here is why...
The sweet little purple dolly she is holding on to is her favorite little baby. She sleeps with it every night. If you pull the string on the dolly's night cap it plays a some peaceful bedtime music. She pulls it a few time before falling asleep. My Mom gave it to her when she was 9 months for Christmas. I hope she keeps it and loves it forever and ever!!!
