Bedroom lamp re-do

This little project has been in the works in my head for quite some time. I found this lamp for free at the end of a yard sale day out here last summer. I intended on either tossing it when I found one that better suited Ella's pink princess room or making it over. Now that I am in my third trimester, I am determined to get all the little projects done that have been brewing in my head for quite some time.

Ella painted the lamp shade first. Pale pink. Her painting skills are amazing. We put two coats.


Then I cut 12 million little circles out of some of Ella's cute pink and white clothes that she has grown out of. I glued them on and it took a few hours but it was fun and kept me from mindless snacking so that is a plus. I also made two little rolled rosettes to go on the base to cover the screws that were there holding the silly bear in place.

I think it turned out really cute. Ella loves it and is proud that she helped. :)

Ella's first Primary Performance

Last night we had a ward activity at church with a talent show and Ella got to get on stage. She LOVED it of course.


First she walked the Red Carpet and told everyone "What she was wearing".

She also sang I am like a Star Shining Brightly and got up on stage with the Sister missionaries. She did so well. :)

Baby Brother...

We got to see our baby boy in a 4D image the other day. AMAZING!!! Our little guy had a fetal echo cardiogram and everything checked out perfectly. Ella loved seeing him she was so sweet, holding my hand the whole time. Baby is weighing in at 1.8oz. for now which is in the 13th percentile. A little guy. I got the okay to up my calorie intake so that will not be a problem at all. :)

Bass Pro Shop

Elliott has been wanting to introduce me to his love of Bass Pro and all things hunting and fishing related for a long time and today was the day.

Eat your veggies.....

Lately Ella has refused to eat any veggies. She is normally a lover of broccoli, carrots, lettuce, corn. All of a sudden that has changed. In an attempt to still get her some veggie type nutrients I found Ronzoni garden delights veggie pasta. Has a full serving of veggies per serving. They are made from carrots, tomato, and spinach. She LOVED them. Thank goodness!!!! I am hopeful that in a week or two she will eat her veggies again but for now she will get lots of pasta made from veggies. :)

24 week baby brother bump...

I cannot believe I am already 6 months along...
It is going by so very quick lately and I feel so ready for this little guy yet so unprepared at the same time. We have been blessed with tons of hand me down clothes from two amazing friends so we are covered there. Another friend gave us a beautiful crib and I found a diaper changing table that was being tossed out by a neighbor. We have a few packages of diapers and a case of wipes. Ella is so excited. Talks to my belly several times a day. She loves her baby brother so much already and I a think I times I am more excited for her than for me.

I love being pregnant. for the most part I feel amazing. I am walking or jogging at least 30 minutes or more 4-5 days a week and it has helped me feel great. My current food cravings are anything lemon flavored and a whole wheat tortilla rolled up with peanut butter and fresh black berries. YUM!!! We have no name picked out yet but we have some favorites. I think we will have to meet the little guy before we make a final decision.

Getting pampered

My sister Tatia took Ella and I to get some pampering at the nail salon for my birthday. It was amazing! Ella really loved it too. She is such a girly girl. Manicure time is serious business for her.
